My Approach
Throughout the years, I've continued to learn and grow to provide my clients with a rounded and helpful experience. I've obtained a Family Group Conference Facilitator certification at Blue Quill First Nation College, Life Coaching Certification from Health & Wellness Institute, and a Certified Professional Coach licence at Erickson International.
As a Black life coach, I focus on family, abuse, life skills, relationship, self-care, and leadership coaching, from a cross-cultural perspective. I approach my clients with a warm, friendly and non-judgemental welcome. I assist clients in setting sensible short-term objectives while integrating positive practices, which helps clients change by developing solutions rather than focusing on problems. My solution-focused approach is a forward-thinking method for creating, inspiring, attaining and maintaining purposeful behavioural change.
My Story
Hi, my name is Lyn Belle, founder and operator of Why Me Coaching. For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to work in a field where I can help people through difficult times and challenges. Due to my early sense of purpose, I ventured into the field of social work, graduating from Grant MacEwan College. Since 1995, I've worked with Children Services, the Justice System and other agencies collaborating with Children Services. I also volunteer at the Distress Line & Suicide Hotline, where I've learned the power of listening without eyes and judgement.
As a single parent and professional, I've struggled with life demands to the point of depression. However, throughout my self-improving journey, I've learned how to overcome sadness and develop skills that allowed me to have a better relationship with my children. The key to this has been learning to love and create a serene relationship with myself by putting "Me First" so that I could be a better parent, sister, daughter and friend.
